The Spui in Amsterdam is a pretty square I have not often seen so empty. Mostly it is crowded with people, a book market or some entertainment. It caught my eye how nice it looks without all that stuff and no bicycles tied to the trees. This is how it really always should be.
It is a very attractive square and the trees give it lots of character.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful square and the trees just make it more beautiful. I love the cobblestones. I guess the bicycles tied to the trees wouldn't exactly add beauty. I think "No parking of bikes" should be in all parks - park outside and enjoy the beauty - there should be some quaint benches here to sit and gaze about. Have a great day.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery nice...It must have been early in the morning?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLovely spot Marianne, bet those trees are appreciated for the shade in summer.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is nice but still looks like a lot of people to me.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's a very attractive area in such a large city. I'd hate to see this when it's full!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDe bomen zijn net kleine eilandjes. Mooie foto!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGlad it caught your eye as this is a photo that tells a story! Peaceful and beautiful.
Hugs,
Mariette
