The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has a nice garden with free entrance where you can relaxe and watch the sculptures of Henry Moore and a nice fountain.
When coming closer I wondered what on earth this father was doing there with his child in the middle of the fountain.
Then I saw it was a special fountain with different parts which went up and down and in the middle you could stand dry. It was a great succes and not only for children.
Fun for children of all ages. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a beautiful...and fun place!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt would be most fun to sit and read or watch or look at garden and fountain and watch the antics of children and parents at play. This is quite lovely :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGrappig zo'n interactieve fontein.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenzou t zelf ook wel zien zitten in dergelijke fontein te 'spelen'
BeantwoordenVerwijderennog een prettige zondagavond
Wat leuk.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWater trekt altijd.
The fountain is nice , but what I really like is how the hedges are trimmed to make it look like the people are sitting in the middle of the hedge. nice shot
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a fun idea. The second photo sure looks like he is standing in the water but not getting wet.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe visited this museum this spring - it was nothing short of spectacular! I hadn't realized the sculptures were Matisse - needing to go back now :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat looked indeed very deceiving as if that father was in the water with his child... As long as the weather is pleasant this makes for a great weekend escape.
Hugs to you and a happy new week.
Mariette
Het lijkt wel een soort Bedriegertjes.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenoh thats funny! we still have to go to the museum....
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh what a fabulous fountain - I'd love to stand inside too. I'm really enjoying your blog. I find that I knew very little of your country and it is gloriously wonderful. I'm enjoying exploring your blog.
