With Rolling Kitchens you can think of all kind of cars but we are a country of bicycles so there were also some kitchens on bicycle wheels. This one sells porc wieners and the owners are very creative with names on the bikes. The wiener is called a "knakker" which is a bit difficult to translate but "knakfiets" means literally "snap bike".
This one is named the "Barbeque Bike".
Here is something sold for daredevils "Mealworm spring rolls" and "Grashopper candy".I wonder the kids liked it.....
These were funny, two gnomes entertaining the public.
The Mobile Potato.
And a beardman specially for Andy of Eye Candy.
Love the gnomes! ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove both posts on rolling kitchens , it looks like a good place to experience. 'Kanakas' here refers to black, South Pacific Islander people imported to work on sugar cane farms in Queensland in the early 20th century
BeantwoordenVerwijderenRolling Kitchens is something I don't see in my country.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove the 'Knakfiets' selling Hot Dog Sausages!
We have lots of rolling kitchens here but purely on 4 or more wheels; never on bikes. They are used for fairs and such in parks to keep people fed.
Fun post!
Hugs,
Mariette
This would be such fun - I love the gnomes and those are quite the tattoos on the young bearded fella in last photo. Nice pictures and lovely outing - I'd like to try many of those :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThese are neat. Love the idea of being on bicycle wheels. You didn't try a mealworm spring roll? Come on now, you're suppose to test these things out for your readers.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe gnomes look hilarious!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'd have to pass on the mealworm!
Love the food stations on bikes....fun!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThese people are very creative and work hard for their money.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWonderful shots and I love the food stations on bikes! When I was in Chicago one time, I was lucky enough to see the Puppet Bike on the sidewalk putting on quite a show. It was amazing how much could fit on that bike.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuper series of shots from the Rolling Kitchens Marianne, must admit I did smile when I saw your Monday murals.. they do get a bit frisky in the woods over there oui :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLeuk! Mijn schoondochter was er ook, ik zie haar niet terug op je foto's:)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am scrolling backwards and am amazed at how many of your fine posts that I missed this past week. I have some medical excuses so I'll try to be more consistent from now on.
