A very new looking bike attached to a bridge is rather unusual in Amsterdam. Most Amsterdam people ride an old one in order to avoid it is stolen. I noticed the name on the frame and looked it up at internet. The "Veloretti bicycles" is a small and independent bicycle brand based in the historic city center of Amsterdam. The company is founded by a couple of enthusiasts with a passion for design and retro bikes. Their bikes are not mass-produced and they will keep it that way. I like it and
I think it was placed here by the company itself as advertisement as the tires look very clean.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenUm abraço e bom fim de semana.
Cool! It has coaster brakes!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenoh, i like it, too! i hope that company does very well!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSounds like a very good advertising idea. It looks a lot like the kind of bike I had when I was a child.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove that mint green colour! Brilliant way to advertise the product :) I've been thinking lately about getting a bike.. I need the exercise :). Happy weekend Marianne.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenZiet er uit als nieuw!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFree advertising, unless someone rides off with it! It's a nice bike.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks like a "fixie". All the rage over here among bicycle and fitness fanatics.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat might very well be true for advertisement. In an area like Amsterdam, as flat as a pancake, such a bike is perfect! Looks nice and also sturdy.
Hugs,
Mariette
A staNDARD ONE SPEED BIKE. yOU DON'T SEE THAT VERY OFTEN.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis one is a beauty. Like its green color. Hope no-one goes off with it.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is very good looking bike and because it looks so new and without wear, your theory that it was placed there by the manufacturer is probably accurate.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like the look of the bike.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice looking bike on that fence. I like the color of it.
