A reflection in the inner city of Amsterdam called the" Oudezijds Achterburgwal", (sorry can't translate this) and is part of the medieval city of the 14th century.
Dearest Marianne, Lovely reflection on very calm water. For a translation and explanation of Oudezijds Achterburgwal you find it here: Oudezijds Achterburgwal (‘Old Side rear fortified embankment) http://www.dutchamsterdam.nl/491-medieval-amsterdam Hugs, Mariette
The bird has to be very accurate in its aim to fly down that narrow passage. It would be interesting to know how they wash the windows on the canal side of the building. I really like this photo.
I am always amazed at how close the buildings are to the water. That is something I don't see here.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI wonder if you can pick up your pizza and pasta by boat. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow amazing it must be to live soooo close to the water. I'm close to the beach but not that close :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIf you had too much to drink and were riding a bicycle you could end up in the water very easily.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMooie weerspiegeling!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA peaceful view!

How pretty! I love seeing the birds flying overhead.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis is very pretty with a crisp reflection. I wonder how many people fall into the canal . I notice there are no rails or fence by the canal.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis view and reflection is something very amazing.
